'Ghost Adventures' Star -- I Bought $35,000 Demon House ... Possible 'Portal to Hell'

Image
" Ghost Adventures " host  Zak Bagans  has taken on his most terrifying project yet -- he just bought a house in Indiana ... believed to be the site of one of the most terrifying demonic possessions ever ... a rumored "portal to hell." The house rose to fame in 2012 ... after a mother who lived there reported her 12-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son had been possessed.  Shockingly, there are even docs from child protective services that back up her claims. Among the many scary incidents ...  the mother says she witnessed her daughter levitating above her bed. She also said she saw her son walking on their ceiling ... an account corroborated by several other witnesses. The mother did everything she could to de-demonize the house -- including building an altar and hiring an exorcist -- but nothing worked and she eventually moved. Zak tells us, he caught wind of the horrifying tale and made an offer to purchase the home for $35,000 -- the owner was all too willing

Free, hi-tech HIV vaccine coming soon

Image
HIV virus (image from http://phil.cdc.gov, Photo Credit: C. Goldsmith) A revolutionary, free and crowd-funded HIV vaccine is in the works. Its creators use a machine learning algorithm to examine the cells of rare individuals naturally immune to the virus to then re-engineer the same biological process in others. The Immunity Project , as the team is called, is completely crowd-funded. Not only does it promise an effective vaccine this time around, it uses a revolutionary method to achieve its goals and vows to revolutionize how we look at vaccines in general: this one will be a fraction of the cost of development by big pharmaceutical companies, while costing the general population nothing. An effective cure could be made available to the public in 2016. The Harvard/Stanford/MIT team behind the vaccine is made up of visionaries and inventors with a few achievements to their names: Dr. B

Sherri Shepherd Apologizes For Controversial Gay Remarks

Image
Sherri Shepherd took a moment during "The View" on Tuesday to address and apologize for remarks she made during an interview with Fusion's Alicia Menendez that many considered anti-gay. The talk show co-host claimed that her views were "misrepresented" by the media. She told the audience: Working on a talk show that's centered in the opinion business, there's been several things that I've shared in the press that have upset people, and typically I don't respond to the criticism. However, I'd like to say I'm truly sorry to anyone I've offended with the viewpoints I expressed on "Alicia Menendez Tonight" on the Fusion network. My interview was misrepresented, and only a portion of my comments were used as a headline to give the impression that I was condemning members of the LGBT community living in their own truth. In the interview, I express I was raised as a

And so the Congresswoman being interviewed was dumped mid-sentence to report the “breaking news” of Bieber’s DUI arrest. On Thursday, the MSNBC put out a report by the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB) slamming NSA hoarding of phone data, calling it ‘illegal.’ The privacy watchdog, established by US Congress in 2004, also urged President Barack Obama to end the NSA surveillance program. Congresswoman Jane Harman was called in to discuss the recommendation of the US government privacy watchdog. But as Harman got round to urging Congress to “seriously consider discontinuing section 215” , matters of national importance were put aside. “ …We've got some breaking news out of Miami, stand by if you

(AFP Photo / Tony Avelar) Two of the most powerful people in the technology world secretly and perhaps illegally coordinated business strategies in which they agreed not to poach each other’s employees, thereby keeping salaries low, according to emails unveiled in federal court. Apple founder Steve Jobs and Google CEO Eric Schmidt apparently kept a secret pact to institute a “ no-hire ” policy in which each executive promised not to recruit each other’s workers. Yet the tech superstars are just two of the business leaders to be implicated in the wink-wink agreement, which reportedly included Google, Apple, Intel, Adobe, Intuit, and Pixar. According to Pando Daily journalist Mark Ames, the scheme began in early 2005, when the need for Silicon Valley engineers was at an all-

These States May Be The Next To Require Labels On Genetically Modified Food

Image
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — In the absence of federal regulation, states from Rhode Island to Hawaii are considering laws to require labels on food items containing genetically modified ingredients. Currently, only Connecticut and Maine have laws requiring labels for genetically modified food. But those requirements won't kick in until other states adopt their own rules. Bills to do just that are expected in more than two dozen states. Seventy percent of processed foods contain at least one ingredient made or derived from genetically modified crops, known as GMOs, according to the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest. The industry-backed Grocery Manufacturers Association puts the number between 70 and 80 percent. Genetic modifications to a plant can improve its quality, hardiness or resistance to pests or disease. Scientific studies have found no evidence that GMOs are more harmful than foods without genetic modifications, but those pushing for label requireme

Olympian Carl Lewis alleges Christie bullied him out of running

Nine-time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis is no wilting flower, but that didn’t stop New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie from trying to intimidate him from running for NJ state Senate in 2011, according to new allegations from Lewis. The Olympic icon threw his hat in the ring for the Garden State’s 8th district – located just outside Philadelphia – ready to run as a Democrat against Republican  Sen. Dawn Addiego. “I’m going to come after you,” Christie said to him in a phone call shortly before he formally entered the race, Lewis told  Yahoo! Sports ‘  ThePostGame . Christie’s administration denies the claim.  Lewis’s candidacy ultimately didn’t go far. Christie’s Lt. Gov Kim Guadagno quickly kicked him out of the race for failing to meet the residency requirements, and after some back-and-forth in the courts, the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against his appeal. Guadagno has come under fire in recent days after allegations from Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer that sh

Twenty-five military officers have stated that the official 9/11 story is, “Ludicrous”, “A well-organized cover-up”, “Impossible”. There are many other people that have conspiracies on the 9/11 story. High-ranking military officers, academics, and architects, as well as hundreds of 9/11 firemen. The whole story seems like a joke. Commissioners of 9/11 say that the government didn’t tell us the whole truth about 9/11, counting its Chairman. Thomas Kean (Repu

NSA refuses to answer whether it spies on Congress

Image
Reuters/Kai Pfaffenbach The US National Security Agency sidestepped the issue when a Senator penned a letter to the agency asking if it has conducted surveillance on members of Congress and other American lawmakers, saying only that legislators are just like everyone else. Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent who represents Vermont, sent a letter Friday asking officials if the NSA currently is “ spying ” or ever has on elected legislators. He defined spying as “ gathering metadata on calls made from official or personal phones, content from websites visited or emails sent, or collecting any other data from a third party not made available to the general public in the regular course of business .” The agency replied the next day with a response containing only a pledge that officials would work with Congress to resolve any concerns, yet neglected to clearly answer Sanders’ question. “ NSA’s authorities to collect signals intelligence data include procedures that pr

Former NSA whistleblowers plead for chance to brief Obama on agency abuses

Image
A group of former National Security Agency insiders who went on to become whistleblowers have written a letter to President Barack Obama, requesting a meeting with him to offer “a fuller picture” of the spy agency’s systemic problems. The group of four intelligence specialists - William Binney, Thomas Drake, Edward Loomis and Kirk Wiebe - who worked at the NSA for  “a total of 144 years, most of them at senior levels”  stressed in the letter the need for Obama to address what they’ve seen as abuses that violated Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights and that have made proper, effective intelligence gathering more difficult. “What we tell you in this Memorandum is merely the tip of the iceberg,”  the group, calling themselves the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), wrote.  “We are ready – if you are – for an honest conversation. That NSA’s bulk collection is more hindrance than help in preventing terrorist attacks should be clear by now despite the false claims

Snowden , 30, has been in the Moscow area since last June when he became stranded there during a layover from Hong Kong after US authorities revoked his American passport. Seven months later, though, the heads of the United States House and Senate Intelligence Committees now claim that the former NSA contractor could very well be linked to the Russian government. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Michigan) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-California) — chairpersons of the House and Senate committees, respectively — each opined as to a secret Snowden-Russia relationship during appearances on the poli

The 51-page draft report prepared by the European parliament’s civil liberties committee’s rapporteur, British MEP Claude Moraes, has in the  “strongest possible terms”  condemned mass surveillance activities of the US National Security Agency (NSA) and its British counterpart, Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). The document is still being discussed and has not been voted on
