BY MARGARET BRENNAN, KYLIE ATWOOD UPDATED ON: JUNE 15, 2017 / 1:46 PM  / CBS NEWS WASHINGTON --  While President Trump berates Qatar for sponsoring terrorism at the highest levels, he is simultaneously authorizing the country to purchase over $21 billion of U.S. weapons.  One portion of that deal -- $12 billion for 36 F-15QA fighter jets -- was inked on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., when Qatar's Defense Minister met with  U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis .  "We are pleased to announce today the signing of the letter of offer and acceptance for the purchase of the F-15QA fighter jets, with an initial cost of $12 billion dollars," read the Qatari Defense Minister's statement on Wednesday afternoon. "We believe that this agreement will propel Qatar's ability to provide for its own security while also reducing the burden placed upon the United States military in conducting operations against violent extremism." Allen Jr. for The New York Times By David Enrich May 19, 2019 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Anti-money-laundering specialists at Deutsche Bank recommended in 2016 and 2017 that multiple transactions involving legal entities controlled by Donald J. Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, be reported to a federal financial-crimes watchdog. The transactions, some of which involved Mr. Trump’s now-defunct foundation, set off alerts in a computer system designed to detect illicit activity, according to five current and former bank employees. Compliance staff members who then reviewed the transactions prepared so-called suspicious activity reports that they believed should be sent to a unit of the Treasury Department that polices financial crimes. Africans must never forget the crimes committed against us by our enemies. We must also avenge our dignity. AFRICANGLOBE   – Since 1963, more than 22 African presidents, then in power, have been assassinated by France, many of them asserted their independence and refused to go along with the colonial power.  The latest of these leaders being Muammar Gaddafi. Most of the coups and assassinations were carried out by the SDECE, the DGSE and the DST. T hese are three French intelligence services that have the reputation of carrying out coups and murders in Africa. Since Charles de Gaulle, the French authorities have been denigrating Africans in this way. Count the number of coups that France has plotted and carried out in Africa, it deserves at least a complaint to the International Criminal Court against the French state. French crimes are well known and documentaries flood French and African television stations documenting how France wantonly murders, imprisons and loot in Afri

(Vahid Salemi/AP) By  Glenn Kessler March 1, 2018 This will be an unusual fact check. Essentially, we are fact-checking The Fact Checker. Like many things these days, it all started with a tweet. President Trump tweeted about the $1.7 billion in cash that the Obama administration sent to Iran and wondered why there had not been an investigation. Never gotten over the fact that Obama was able to send $1.7 Billion Dollars in CASH to Iran and nobody in Congress, the FBI or Justice called for an investigation! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 18, 2018 So we tweeted in response: Has no one who works for Trump ever explained it was a legal settlement of money the Unites States owed Iran from before the 1979 revolution? https://t.co/bM0osncfOw — Glenn Kessler (@GlennKesslerWP) February 18
