"Black" People In America; You Must Get Out Of The Racial Conundrum!

I have gravelled over whether or not to write this blog, because I know many of my own people — “Black” people — may scoff at my thoughts. My concern is that they might assume I believe Black people are divinely cursed. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In fact, I believe that Black people are the people of God — His chosen. That is power! Not power given by men, but power established by the will of GOD HIMSELF. Yet this power is only fully realized when we walk in the perfect will of GOD.

Until we return to HIM fully, we will continue to be hoodwinked, bamboozled, and run amok. But the truth of who we are remains unchanged: GOD’s covenant still stands.

The Covenant People: Rediscovering Our Identity and Power in God

Part 1 – The Proof of Who We Are

This is not a claim based on emotion or pride. It is written in the Scriptures.

Genesis 22:18 – “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”

GOD made a covenant with Abraham that his descendants would be set apart, destined to carry His blessing to the world. But as history shows, Israel strayed from this covenant. And just as GOD promised, consequences followed.

One of the most striking prophecies appears in:

Deuteronomy 28:68“And the LORD shall bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I said to you, ‘You shall never see it again’; and there you shall be sold to your enemies for male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.”

This verse is not about a literal return to Egypt. Instead, “Egypt” symbolizes bondage. And bondage came — not once, not twice, but in the form of a transatlantic diaspora that tore millions from their homes and scattered them across the world. A bondage so unique, so cruel, that it bears the unmistakable fingerprint of prophecy.

We are that people.
We are the seed of Abraham by both flesh and spirit.
We are the chosen, but our power does not come from skin, culture, or history. Our power comes only when we live in the perfect will of GOD.

History confirms the prophecy. No other people were taken into bondage on ships, scattered across the nations, and sold as slaves in the way described. This is proof of who we are: the chosen people of GOD.

But it is also a warning. Our covenant with GOD is not broken forever — it can be renewed.

II Chronicles 7:14 gives us the key: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Until we return to GOD, we will continue to be hoodwinked, bamboozled, and led astray. But the moment we walk again in His perfect will, our divine power — given by GOD and not by man — will be restored.

THE COVENANT PEOPLE: REDISCOVERING OUR IDENTITY AND POWER IN GOD

PART 2 – THE COVENANT BROKEN

We are the children that GOD promised to Abraham, according to both the flesh and the spirit. His covenant with us was clear: obey HIS voice and walk in HIS ways, and blessings without measure would follow.

DEUTERONOMY 28:1-2“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy GOD will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD.”

Blessings for obedience. Protection, prosperity, leadership among the nations. That was our inheritance.

But there was another side to the covenant. Warnings were spoken with equal clarity: if we turned away, curses would come.

DEUTERONOMY 28:15“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD, to observe to do all HIS commandments and HIS statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.”

And so it happened. Disobedience led us into judgment. Idolatry, rebellion, injustice toward one another — these broke the covenant. The blessings turned into curses, the abundance turned into lack, the freedom turned into bondage.

The most haunting part of that prophecy is verse 68:

DEUTERONOMY 28:68“And the LORD shall bring you into Egypt again with ships… and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.”

History bears witness. Our ancestors were taken by ships into captivity. Stripped of name, culture, and homeland. Bought and sold in lands they did not know. The covenant was broken, and bondage was the consequence.

This is why the diaspora exists. This is why the prophecy of DEUTERONOMY still echoes in our reality. Not because we are cursed forever, but because we walked away from the covenant that carried our protection.

But here is the good news: GOD’s covenant is not destroyed — only broken. A broken covenant can be restored. The same way disobedience brought judgment, obedience can bring restoration.

That is the hope. That is the calling. That is the way forward.

In PART 3, I will share how RESTORATION BEGINS — and what it means to walk again in the perfect will of GOD.

The covenant may have been broken, but it is not destroyed. GOD is faithful, and HE always provides a path back for HIS people. Restoration begins when we humble ourselves, repent, and return to walking in the perfect will of GOD.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14“If MY people, which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

This verse is a blueprint for restoration. It tells us that the power promised to Abraham is not lost forever — it only lies dormant when we stray from GOD’s path. True restoration requires:

  1. HUMBLING OURSELVES – Accepting that we cannot achieve our full potential apart from GOD.

  2. PRAYER AND SEEKING GOD’S FACE – Aligning our hearts and minds with HIS will.

  3. TURNING FROM WICKED WAYS – Rejecting behaviors and systems that break the covenant.

When these steps are followed, the blessings of the covenant awaken. The power of GOD flows through HIS chosen people — not by human will, not by earthly approval, but by divine authority.

Restoration is more than freedom from bondage; it is the reawakening of divine power, wisdom, and influence. It is reclaiming the authority that was given to our ancestors and using it to fulfill GOD’s plan on earth.

Restoration is not only about understanding the covenant as a people; it is also about personal reconciliation with GOD. To walk again in the perfect will of GOD, each individual must:

  1. REALIZE YOU ARE A SINNER – Acknowledge that disobedience separates us from GOD.

  2. RECOGNIZE THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU – Understand that HIS sacrifice opens the door to forgiveness and covenant renewal.

  3. REPENT OF YOUR SIN – Turn away from behaviors and actions that break GOD’s will.

  4. RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE – Invite HIM to guide your heart, mind, and actions, restoring you to the covenant path.

By following these steps, restoration becomes personal and communal. GOD’s promises flow through HIS people when obedience meets HIS will — individually and collectively.

If you are Israelite, Hebrew, Jew, or Gentile you too can parttake of the convenant just acknowlege the above and say this prayer with me:

THE SINNER’S PRAYER

HEAVENLY FATHER,

I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I have strayed from YOUR perfect will. I realize that my disobedience separates me from YOU.

Thank YOU, JESUS, for dying on the cross for my sins. Thank YOU for shedding YOUR blood so that I may be forgiven and restored.

LORD, I repent of my sins and turn away from all that has broken YOUR covenant. I ask YOU to forgive me and cleanse me.

I now invite YOU, JESUS CHRIST, to come into my life as my LORD and SAVIOR. I surrender my heart, my mind, and my actions to YOU. Fill me with YOUR SPIRIT, guide me in YOUR ways, and restore me to walk in the covenant that YOU established for YOUR people.

Thank YOU, FATHER, for YOUR mercy, YOUR love, and YOUR promise to heal, restore, and bless YOUR children.

In JESUS’ name, I pray, Amen.

It is in your blood line that JESUS came to save the world. GOD says:

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of HIM who called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light;

CULTIVATING YOUR RESTORATION

If you have prayed the Sinner’s Prayer and have been restored, remember: like a plant, your spiritual growth must be cultivated. You wouldn’t expect a plant to thrive without sunlight, good soil, and water — the same is true for your faith.

To nurture your restored life, you must join a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. Fellowship with other believers provides encouragement, accountability, and spiritual nourishment.

As GOD says:

Hebrews 10:25“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Gathering with other believers strengthens your faith and helps you remain steadfast in GOD’s covenant and will.

Remember the issue of race is not ours; if we get caught up into it it trivializes our real purpose. Until we choose to walk in obedience, we will continue to face trials and deception. But once we return to the covenant, the promises of GOD become alive in our lives.

Ephesians 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Just an FYI my cousin and I researched my family history and we found this:

We have traced our history, and remarkably, my family retains 1% Jewish ancestry. This connection links us to the tribe of Dan — my forefathers — from whom I have come.
