Black Conservatives chant "4 more years" as President delivers speech at black history month celebration.

President Trump told a cheering group of black supporters that he deserves “100 percent” support for his record on issues impacting African Americans.
Trump regaled the White House Black History Month celebration Thursday night with an accounting of economic statistics and legislative victories on criminal justice reform and funding for historically black colleges.
“I just want to congratulate the black community because what you’ve done in the progress you’ve made over the last three years,” Trump said in the White House East Room.
“The African American poverty rate has plummeted to the lowest level in the history of our country,” Trump said. “These are good numbers. I don’t know. I mean, I should be at 100% I hate to tell you, right?”
The crowd repeatedly chanted, “Four more years!”
Trump praised his advocacy for the First Step Act that shortened many prison sentences, and his decision to give clemency to multiple African Americans, including Alice Johnson, whom he released in 2018 on Kim Kardashian’s recommendation, and Angela Stanton King, an author and reality TV star whom he pardoned this month.
“Angela, thank you for being here. Enjoy your life,” he said.
Trump said he understood injustice impacting African Americans because of his own experience as president.
“I get treated unfairly, too. We all get treated unfairly,” Trump said. “You know when you get treated unfairly? You know what you have to do? Just keep winning. Win, win, win. Keep winning. That’s what you’ve been doing.”
Although Trump’s event largely focused on African American-related issues, he vowed to put the “first female on the moon” as his administration seeks to resume lunar landings by 2024.
Trump also bemoaned the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has tanked the stock market with a more than 3,000-point nosedive in the Dow this week amid fear of a global pandemic.
“Everything can be perfect and then you hear, ‘Gee, there’s a bug. There’s a flu, there’s a virus, they didn’t know what it was in China,’ ” Trump said, adding: “But it’s working out very professionally, we’re doing a tremendous job.”
