The Hard Truth About Why Our Communities Stay Stuck
You all are laughable. You get so emotionally charged that you lose all sense of appropriateness. Because this brother got the last word, you call that a “victory.” Tatum didn’t even get to respond — you cut him off. I’d bet he was the one doing the schooling.
ROTFLMAO. First of all, that wasn’t even civics — it was sociology.
Fact Check: Sociology is the scientific and systematic study of human society, social relationships, and social interaction. It examines how groups, organizations, and institutions — like families, schools, and governments — shape human behavior.
Secondly, the federal government does not determine what must be done with the money it sends to the states.
Third — and we all know this — historically, whether Demoncrat or Repueblican, both parties have catered to the more affluent because they are the ones who consistently pay to have the schools they want.
In many Black communities, we’re always looking for the “come up” — welfare, Social Security disability, and other programs originally meant for the elderly and the indigent. Over time, the definitions expanded so broadly that almost anyone can qualify. These programs don’t strengthen the community; they drain it.
And on top of that, we don’t take responsibility for our school systems. Too many parents don’t show up to parent‑teacher conferences, don’t stay engaged, and expect the schools to do all the parenting. But the moment a teacher disciplines a child, suddenly everyone has time to raise hell. When the government hands out benefits, we’re the first ones in line. We leave everything to the government, and not everyone contributes equally to get the results they expect.
We Keep Voting for the Problem, Demoncrats, and Wonder Why Nothing Changes
And let’s be real: we don’t take our vote seriously either. Since 1964, we’ve been voting for a party that historically represented the former slave‑holding interests in the South. That’s why they don’t give real solutions — they give handouts and empty promises. They have studies you niggas and they know you are now lazy and will take the (Free Handouts) low hanging fruit!
And here’s the historical truth you never hear: The Republican Party was founded by Northern abolitionists, members of the Freedmen’s Bureau, and free Black leaders and businessmen in the South. It was literally built by people who opposed slavery and fought for the rights of freedmen. That’s the actual origin — not the revisionist version people repeat today.
If you want to talk about thriving Black communities, look at history.
Black Wall Street thrived in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and similar communities nationwide during the early 20th century — not because of handouts, but because segregation forced Black Americans to build self‑sustaining economies.
Examples:
Greenwood (Tulsa, OK) — Founded in 1906, booming by 1921.
Jackson Ward (Richmond, VA) — “Birthplace of Black Capitalism.”
Sweet Auburn (Atlanta, GA) — A hub of Black civic and commercial life.
Hayti (Durham, NC) — Thriving insurance and banking institutions.
Bronzeville (Chicago, IL) — Cultural and business powerhouse during the Great Migration.
These communities thrived because dollars circulated internally, businesses were supported, and responsibility was taken seriously.
So yes — we get what we pay for.
And here’s the part that really stings: Trump actually tried to address some of these issues — not for political points, but for the sake of children — and many of you let Democrats and weak Republicans convince you to hate him for it.
I know that hurts, but it’s the hard, honest truth.
