Indy Health Clinic Cries “Foul”! Fights To Stay Open, Sues US & Marion County

One of Indianapolis’ oldest, independent neighborhood health clinics is fighting to stay open to serve low income patients on the city’s near north. 

One of Indianapolis’ oldest, independent neighborhood health clinics is fighting to stay open to serve low income patients on the city’s near north side. Citizens Health Center at 17th & College is suing the Federal Government, Department of Health & Human Services along with Marion County’s Health and Hospital Corporation charging the agencies are working to deny Citizens the necessary Federal funding to stay open.

Aaron Haith, Board Member of Citizens and Karen Scroughan, Citizens Executive Director, appeared on Afternoons with Amos to explain the problem and why the unique, independent health center made the decision to sue in Federal Court.
