The 'Zombie Apocalypse' lurches on.
A Louisiana man was arrested, handcuffed and shackled after allegedly biting a chunk out of a man's face during an attempted robbery, according to an affidavit.
Carl Jacquneaux, 42, showed up at his ex-wife's house June 2 - in violation of an order of protection she had taken out against him - and attacked Todd Credeur, her current husband. Jacquneaux repeatedly bit Credeur’s face, "removing flesh the size of a quarter," the affidavit said.
Credeur told KATC-TV that was working in his front yard when he was attacked by Jacquneaux, adding that he was shocked when his face was bitten. Credeur sprayed wasp spray in Jacquneaux's face in self-defense.
"Very unusual, it's not something we see everyday," said Scott Assistant Police Chief Kert Thomas.
His thirst blood apparently not satiated, Jacquneaux then went to a friend Billy Louviere's house nearby, held him at knife point and said "I will kill you if you don't tell me where your dad's gun is." Jacquneaux left Louviere's house with the gun and was arrested at the dead end of a nearby street, an affidavit said.
A friend of Credeur's told KATC-TV that she believed Jacquneaux was on bath salts, the same drug Miami cannibal Rudy Eugene took before eating Ronald Poppo's face off down to his goatee over Memorial Day weekend.
Jacquneaux was charged aggravated second degree battery, violation of a protective order, aggravated burglary, simple battery and violation of probation. He is being held in Lafayette Parish Jail in lieu of $312,500 bond, reports KATC-TV.
Cops did not perform any blood tests on Jacquneaux, reports KATC-TV, they will never be able to confirm if he was taking the dangerous drugs or not.
Credeur was released from the hospital and is recovering at home, KATC-TV reported.
